In March, Timur suggested me to participate in their annual rafting tour, planned on April 15. “Perfect, I’ll be in Innopolis that week”. “You will see, it will be spring by then, the snow will have gone, there will be green grass, may be too early for the leaves, but temperature will be around 15 or 20 …”.
The rafting tour is great, very different from what I expected, a Taiga rafting tour on a more or less temporary river that only really exists in spring … but the conditions as well are not exactly according to the predictions: still a lot of snow and temperature around zero … which has the advantage that we get snow rather than rain, but my equipment is not really appropriate. Anyway, at the end of the day I am not the only one who is more or less frozen: happy to have done the tour … and happy to return to some warm place again.
I made a GPS trace of the rafting tour which is here (and the last picture shows an altitude profile, not really exiting but there is one ...).

The next day, I say bye bye to Kazan, “I’ll be back next winter” … I’ll never see the “green Kazan” …
