In March, the city center and the Kremlin are completely free of snow, but the lakes and the rivers are still frozen. I wouldn’t dare anymore to cross the Kaban Lakes, the road over the Volga is closed, but ice fishing on the Volga has its high season … and finally, I can find my way to walk along and on the Volga. Beautiful!
In April Kazan looks barely different except that ice fishing is now definitively over, and the Volga is completely free of ice. I only have time for a very short visit of Kazan on sunday morning, only very few photos
