There are several places within the larger Moscow city worth a visit, including large parks. I choose (1) the Moscow University which is located on a hill above the Moskva River with nice views and whose main building is one of Stalin’s 7 skyscrapers spread over all of Moscow, (2) the Novodevichy Convent whose oldest parts date back to the early 16th century, and (3) I want to visit the Ismaylovsky flee market (with the vague hope to find a matrushka different from the bad quality version you find everywhere in town), but I never go well beyond the metro station of the same name (which is not the right one to visit the market).
